Donna Marie from Wexford, Ireland, grew up reared on country music and started playing bass in her parents’ band at the age of 13. She made it to the final six in ‘The All Ireland Talent Show’. She writes her own songs and is available for record, management and publishing deals.
Donna Marie has been on the music scene for 13 years, starting out first as bass guitar player in her parents’ band. That very first year saw the then 11-year-old Donna feature on the band’s debut cassette release. The young talent’s confidence quickly grew, and she began singing at the band’s gigs and then later, upon meeting musician Michael J Cloke, started a band called Strange Behaviour, together with Michael and her brother. After a year on the pub scene the band decided to move to the Canary Islands where they took up residency at a bar for three months,
Upon returning to Ireland Donna Marie and Michael started up a 5-piece band called Breeze 52. The new outfit proved a huge success, with gigs booked up and down the country. Marie remained with the band until deciding to take her chances on ‘The All Ireland Talent Show’. Following her success on the show, the band reinvented itself as Donna Marie & Breeze 52.
During the winter months of 2009 Donnie Marie record her solo debut album ‘My Voice’ in Silverwood Studio in Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow. The album was produced, engineered, mixed and arranged by Gavin Ralston and mastered by Dan Fitzgerald.
In Feb 2009:
Donna Marie was invited by Mr Tommy Fleming to attend one of his shows where he announced her success [of making the final 6 in The All Ireland Talent Show] to the 700-strong audience.
In March 2009:
Donna Marie was invited as a special guest to perform on stage supporting The Furey Brothers and Davey Arthur at the Riverside Park Hotel, Wexford. She first shared a stage with the group in 2008 at Wexford's popular outdoor Dunbrody Festival and they have since become good friends and kept in regular contact.
On June 28th:
Marie and her Breeze 52 headlined Saturday night at the Wexford strawberry fair to an estimated crowd of around 5,000 people. The following week’s headlines proclaimed the performance had drawn crowds that hadn't been seen since 1967, the year the event started.

On the 18th of July 2009:
Donna Marie (Breeze 52) took to the new Ross Stage for Wexford’s biggest free open-air festival, The Dunbrody Festival, back to back with The Saw Doctors, and in front of an estimated crowd of 10,000!
Here is what the advert said about Donna:
"No stranger to New Ross, Donna Marie shot to fame following her appearance on R.T.E.’s All-Ireland Talent show last year. Be sure to see this Ballymurn live wire live before she goes inter-stellar!"
On the 10th of July 2009:
Donna Marie was invited to sing for none other than ‘The President Of Ireland’ Mary McAleese at Áras an Uachtaráin as part of her annual Family Day Garden Party. McAleese also personally requested a copy of Donna Marie's yet to be released debut album ‘My Voice’, and has since shown her approval by giving the album a thumbs up.
On September 27th 2009:
Donna Marie featured on RTE News in respect of her attendance at the ceremony for the ‘Forgotten Maggies’ in Grey Cullen Park in Carlow, where she performed her own song ‘My Voice’.
In January, February, March and December 2009:
Marie made three appearances on the RTE1 TV programme ‘The All Ireland Talent Show’. Out of thousands of hopefuls from across Ireland that entered the competition, she managed to win an amazing 5th place in the live final, and was asked back to do a special live performance to ring in the New Year, 2010.
Donna Marie has also made an appearance on Balconytv.com singing one of her original songs ‘Simple Song’.
Donna Marie has done many broadcasts on both local and national radio including South East Radio, East Coast Radio and Clare FM. You can be guaranteed that at any given time this girl will be featuring in some newspaper somewhere due to the various performances she does!
